Traditional Owners Acknowledgement

Shepparton Textile Artists Inc acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Land of Greater Shepparton: the Yorta Yorta Nation, whose clans include the Bangerang, Kailtheban, Wollithiga, Moira, Ulupna, Kwat Kwat, Yalaba Yalaba and Ngurai-illiam-wurrung people.

We pay respect to their Tribal Elders, we celebrate their continuing culture, and we acknowledge the memory of their ancestors.

Shepparton Textile Artists Inc (STA)  exists primarily to create, celebrate, and promote textile art across the Goulburn Valley and beyond.

STA offers membership to textile artists and/or enthusiasts.  This entails an annual fee and gives members up-to-date information and in particular first access to workshops and other events staged by STA.  

STA holds exhibitions throughout the year.   The theme varies each time but always provides a great deal of scope for using textiles (fabric, fibre, thread, yarn, etc) in creative and exciting ways.  See our Gallery page for past Exhibitions!
