About Us

Shepparton Textile Artists Inc (STA) has been in existence for some years and primarily exists to create, celebrate, and promote textile art across the Goulburn Valley and beyond. STA is run by a dedicated committee and supported by a strong membership base. Kerry Handwerk is currently President, Margaret Wilson Vice President, with Treasurer Debbie Almond, and Secretary Kim D'Arma. The general committee consists of Gillian Schoenborn, Deb Hall,  Jude Dealy, Olinda Poulton and Judith Roberts.  Each year at least one major exhibition is held always providing great scope for using fabric, fibre and yarn in creative and exciting ways. Plans for the future include more smaller exhibitions and facilitating workshops run by our members and/or expert tutors.  Keep an eye on this website and our Facebook page for information as it unfolds.
