STA offers membership to textile artists and/or enthusiasts. This entails a small annual fee ($20) and gives members up-to-date information and in particular first access to workshops and other events staged by STA. New members are always welcome.

STA also has two groups who meet throughout the year and new members are always welcome to fill vacancies as they occur. At both groups all skill levels are welcome. Sessions provide the opportunity for participants to learn from others, work on their own individual work, as well as socialise with like-minded people. Group members enjoy helping each other and discovering new and creative ways of producing amazing works of art. Both groups work hard to enter pieces into the main exhibition each year and practice through self-paced challenges, entering smaller exhibitions and liaising with colleagues for feedback and inspiration.
